It’s possible that your smartphone is set to replicate a desktop browser in its mime-type. If you know how to do so, switch it to a mobile browser mime-type. If you’re still having issues, contact us at help@ubiubi.mobi — we’ll help you through it.
We think we’re pretty different. Here’s why: Unlike other restaurant search tools, we don’t make you download anything. We’re much easier to search, with far more criteria to search by — so you can discover a new restaurant in your neighborhood right now. We offer more information about each restaurant — like whether a restaurant is wheelchair-accessible or vegetarian-friendly — and we’ll soon offer even more easily searchable information.
Our reviews are written by the most trustworthy partners in the world, such as Michelin, which basically invented the modern restaurant review, 109 years ago. We’re also partners with A Hedonist’s guide to…Eat New York, a snarky guide to the most exciting restaurants in New York, written by 60 of New York’s top tastemakers.
We’re compatible with nearly all smartphones and Web-capable phones, especially all iPhones, BlackBerrys, and Android-enabled phones such as T-Mobile G1, as well as those manufactured by Samsung, Nokia, and Palm. See the complete list on our Compatibility page.
No way! It’s all online — so we can update our system all the time with more features and more content (which we’re doing at least once a week). That also saves you memory space on your phone, so it’s not consumed by our rapidly expanding library of reviews and information!
Right now, we cover two (2) cities in the New York Metro area including all five boroughs; forty-eight (48) cities in the San Francisco Bay area including Napa and Sonoma; fifteen (17) cities in Greater Los Angeles; two (2) cities in the Las Vegas Metro area including various venues outside of the Strip; and, three (3) cities in South Florida. Several new cities in the U.S. and around the world are coming soon. Please feel free to suggest which cities to cover next by e-mailing us at suggestions@ubiubi.mobi.
That’s good news. We’d like to hear about it. Contact us at help@ubiubi.mobi. Please include your exact smartphone model, including the manufacturer and your service provider.
Only $23.99 for the year, or $2.49 per month if you pay month-to-month. $2.49 is a fraction of what it would cost to purchase even one of the hard-copy books whose content we carry, and $23.99 is also an excellent bargain. There are lots of ways to see reviews for free, too. To find out how, see the posting: “I can’t see reviews anymore. What happened?” under More FAQs.
That’s definitely possible because every smartphone and smartphone browser is different; each shows text and graphics in a slightly different way. We’d like to fix it, though. Contact us at help@ubiubi.mobi. Please include your exact smartphone model, including the manufacturer and your service provider, and describe the problem as precisely as you can. Thanks for helping us improve Ubi Ubi.
